Looking for a mechanic that knows their way round my car a little better than my local guy. Some of the jobs I need doing are not expensive in the way of parts but more labour and I'm sure it'll be a lot quicker for someone who knows these cars well.

What jobs do you need doing?

Oil leak needs sorting and possibly propshaft bearings to replace as well as an irritating rattle.

Prop bearing is easy enough, oil leak dependent where it is could be an arse.

Rattle could be anything lol, exhaust heatshield for example

There isn't any z specialist around Dorset unfortunately,

Oil leak is coming from somewhere above the oil filter (not part of it) so possibly a gasket..?

Rattle certainly isn't a heat shield as there aren't any left (new exhaust). It's a lower tone rattle and someone on here suggested it could be the propshaft bearing.

Also need the crank seal replacing.

Hellraiser aka gaz is one ourlocal guys. Knows his way round a zed pretty well me him and phil havr a little local club going on and try to help eachother out as much as poss

I would have thought that any competent mechanic could do the propshaft bearing and at least tell you where the oil is coming from.

 

Saying that, at the price of a new bearing you would be just as well to get a one piece prop from Zedworld and never have to worry about it again.

Any of you local guys wanna go for a drive in my car some time and tell me what you think this rattle might be?
