i dont know what state the turbos are in, but they dont smoke presently. i have had a set of japspeed decats in my shed for a while now, but just the front decat not the downpipes from the turbos. so two questions

first can i use these are or they for an n/a?

second shouldi use them or am i asking for trouble, i think the cats are a bit restrictive at prestent.

so whats the vote?

i dont wanna have to recon the tubs as im on a budjet and it would be a pain in the ass pulling the block.

your cats will be well goosed if original anyway. imo only decat if your car is j reg or earlier as you can get in botha with vosa if not. decat i say!

if they are straight they are for turbo version. I would get them on yours are bound to be old and rusty anyway.

imo decat won't...doesn't cause turbo failure. if anything the freeflow gain from decat gives them a better chance at longevity.

Exactly mate - it doesn't.....

......however if your turbo seals are on the way out, then a decat will actually show the problem more as the absence of the cats will allow the dreaded blue smoke to be more visible!

So if you decat - or simply fit a less restrictive exhaust than standard - and start to see smoky turbos, that's because the problem was already there!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
