What according to you guys is a fair price for a manual conversion these days. Specifically one with a brand new clutch/lightweight fly.

Genuine question so appreciate sensible answers :thumbup1:

To buy/sell the complete coversion kit. All parts included bud.

including new clutch & lightweight flywheel - £700 - £800ish?

at the moment they are ranging from £300 to £500 however whether the box is a NA or TT makes a bit of a difference. Id pitch it in that region somewhere

They used to go for around £450 to £600 mate for all the parts, including standard flywheel and clutch. Don't know about a lightened fly mate.

LOL. I take it Baz is a seller and Marty a buyer.

What if the clutch/flywheel cost circa £400 and are unused bud. I know you have done a few conversions so value your input.

Unfortunately people really dont take things like that into consideration. What clutch/flywheel is it? I would say on that then £600 but alot of people dont want to shell out that much on their zed in one go. Id try and get someone on a payment scheme then its not such a dent and people would be more willing. :) Its all about deals :)

Oh i would be but i dont think my NA auto warrants it and my other boxes are good :D

mine was a hopeful guesstimate if you found the right buyer who isnt short of a few bob. lol

Here's hoping then :whistling::cool3:

£400 - £700 mate depending on parts. Sounds as if all yours are new and upgraded and therefore the higher end i would say.

Ive paid £400 for my manual conversion that included everything down to the last nut and bolt, as well as a good standard clutch and flywheel but have spent a further £400 on an uprated clutch and lightened flywheel.

Thanks guys. As you've probably gathered i'll be putting one up for sale soon. Good low mileage box and all parts from Slick Pete. Standard fly along with new clutch and l/w fly.

Keep an eye on the For Sale section.

Ive sold one with brand new clutch and clutch housing (OEM) TT, for 550 before, im currently selling one for £500 with all parts including the short throw stick with it, i suppose it depends how fast you want to get rid.

With an uprated clutch and lightened flywheel, id be inclined to sell the gearbox conversion at around the £490 to £500 mark and sell the flywheel and clutch separately, together it would bring the price up to around £600 to £700, but you would be loosing out on the uprated clutch and lightened fly. though i suppose it boils down to how generous you are.

Just remember though we are only in feb, seems no one is in the market for a conversion at the moment as ive not had any interest in mine yet. not even a haggle on the price lol

Depending on which flywheel it is would you possibly sell it seperatly?

Possibly. I'm going to try and shift it as a whole conversion first though, hopfully the new clutch/fly will help :yinyang:
