Hi everyone,

bought my first zx yesterday after years of looking. It's a lwb, non turbo as insurance on a TT was too expensive for me. Got it as a project. Leaving it off road for now as i'm still driving my astra coupe turbo, although that's no where near as exciting as the zx.

Got a few ideas of what i wana do to it but need to do the basics first, new leather interior, replace speedo, respray spoiler etc.

Any advice on styling or the best place to buy body and engine parts would be a big help.

Looked on ebay for a front bumper but there doesn't seem to be much decent stuff on there.

I like it.......as much as I like baseball cap wearing chavs! Is that the kind of response you were after Baz? :D

Welcome to the club bud, not too much styling stuff easily available for the Z really, the choice is somewhat limited, but if you're into making it unique, there's enough choice to pick something up that you can modify and personalise easily enough.

Welcome matey :)

Dont ask matey, it will cost a fortune for delivery, only 1 airline will bring it into the country on thier specialised LWB Boeing 747

I think Boeing had to refuse and get the Airbus A380 to bring it in Daz.

Welcome to the site matey,

I might be able to help you out with some body mods. If you have the OEM boot spoiler dont bother respraying it. it will only last a week because it soaks up the water and rusts inside and miss-shapen etc. Best off with a fiberglass one :)

Which is quicker you coupe turbo or the N/A zed??

  • Author

I don't know which is quicker. I've fitted the astra with an upgraded vxr turbo so its pretty quick when it kicks in.

The paint on the rear spoiler on the zed has bubbled quite alot, so would it be better to buy a new one?

Yeah i would. the stock one will look good for a while but it will soon start to blister and crack again :(

Cheers mate, i was gonna stick with the old one but will get a new one to save the hassle in the future. Seen some nice ones on Z Centre.

Noticed a small leak on the glass roof aswell. Would new rubber seals sort that?
