Just wondered, as in the service manual it says to remove the splashguard, remove the sidelight/indicator units and remove the mounting bolts with no mention of removing the front bumper!!??.

I suppose technically, now you say it like that (Remove the splashguard, I don't have a splashguard, lol), you might be able to get to enough stuff, but it'd be WAY easier and quicker to just remove the bumper. The problem I think you'll come up against more than anything, is pulling them forwards out of the pipes, with the front bumper in situ, I'd say you'll struggle to get the force on them that you'll need to free them up.

you need to get to the front of the coolers to remove the mounting bolts. So unless you have uber-flexy arms, you might struggle mate.

TBH, it's alot easier just taking the bumper off.

you can, done it a few times with stock bumpers using the correct tools and access via the indicator. it is a bit of a pig to do but, easier than trying to repair the rusty studs on the wings that have snapped off when removing the bumper :D

I did mine, (non standard bumper though) didn't have any choice as the wings were joined to the front bumper. Managed to put larger IC's in aswell
