Just lost my Betta fish (Siamese fighter) 'Frank ':crying: He was a gift last year and I kept him in a little 9litre tank. I received a bigger tank today 30litre cube type tank and 'Frank' was going to move into this :crying:

I am now unsure what to put in the new tank. Should I get another Betta fish (as frank was a character) or should I get a few other types of fish. Any suggestions appreciated.

Will put em up when the computery other half gets in. I'm now planning to dump my big 3 seater settee, get a smaller one and get a proper red sea tank so I can get some corals

What do you mean by red sea tank? Are corals hard to keep, i'd imagine they are ultra sensitive to change or are there some hardy ones?

That is some outstanding work Z32bolt, I love it!:clap::clap:

Would love to have that hinda set up, been told its very costly though and very high maintenance keeping the salt contents correct.

I love fish tanks with lots of plants but my Oscars used to rip them all out constantly lol, then went for a more natural habitat styled tank.

Mine is easy now it's settled but I did have help from knowledgable friends as I'd never even owned a goldfish before! Now I buy my sal****er ready mixed. Only costs a couple of quid and do a 10% water change every week. Check levels and amend anything that's off. Simples!!

Red sea not as good as they look then? Will have to do some research then before I dump my big snuggly settee.

ive had dealing with them in years gone by the salt was crap, all over the place was ok for keeping soft corals but hard corals it were crap. the product before had nitrates and phosphates in it. there systemised tanks are over priced under gunned and you will be swapping out the equipment before its first birthday. just look up reviews of there skimmers. there suplement are half arsed and dont hit the mark, and there test kits atre suspect at best. lol essentially there arnt great think of them like ripspeed. ior someother halfords typre brand.

you would be best off spending half the cash on a fully systemised tank with sump etc built to your sec and buying good quality tunze for example equipment.

probally abiout the bets thing you will do if your not already. ive built alot of reef tanks for myself and others over the years been in the trade and out the trade. etc. but companies like red sea who are owned by i think interpet these days are just tropical fish tank manufactures that jumped on the wagon.

Ok thanks for that. Would have been an expensive mistake.not to mention the stress of having to deal with little corpses.

A quick test before I post the others, but here is a picture of George to start off. He is a don't know crab. Damn the other half for typing exactly what I say. Small issue here, I can't seem to open up the attachment after posting it. Can anybody else see it larger than a thumbnail?

Yeah. I've only had the file fish a couple of weeks. He's feeding well on frozen food so I'm hoping to fatten him up. And everybody else cos nobody gets a look in when the food goes in. Greedy so n so.
