By the look of texts from friends at either end of the country am thinking we are all snowed in at the moment?

Come back!!!!!....

It's ok, he got to the end of the street then reversed straight back to test the speedo as much as we can in this weather lol

Our Husky has been sat in the snow looking very unimpressed and trying in desperation to eat it all to make it go away. I thought being a Husky that he would love it!

Lots of snow here poxy stuff, I'm hoping its not going to be to bad by the morning as I've got work :(

I'm hoping whoever forecasted 10" was a bloke and it means we'll really getting 3" lol

Nothing wrong with snow Nicci, but for some reason the UK has a panic attack hasnt got a clue what to do and everything stops.

When i lived in germany, schools still opened, businesses still ran and roads were still usable, i never got why people in the UK never just got on with it.

Similar story down here Dave.....

....although there's still 5-6 inches of the stuff on the ground and no sign of it going before tomorrow.

The Merc is buried under loads of it; but I have brushed it all off of Julia's Rav-4 so no prizes for guessing how I'm getting to work on Monday!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just spent the last couple of hours uncovering cars. There is a bit of sunshine but at -1 I can't see it going away overnight. Had to get the steps out to clean the roof off the Espace and it's now totally dry an tucked up to bed with a sheet over it.

Roll on 2hours of motorway in the early hours :)

What you have to remember, in the UK we have a climate that is just on the boundaries between snow and rain. Countries like Norway, Sweden and Finland have layers upon layers of snow. We are often left with ice - which in turn makes it very treacherous. Although we didn't get much snow, in the night it has turned to ice, and during the day it's melting where it's very difficult to stand upright on. It's now 10 degrees here and it's still extremely slippy on unused paths.
