Hi People,

Excuse the strong language , but last night some shits decided for fun to kick the door mirror off my Zed, luckily no other damage was caused to the car, and my next door neighbor retrieved the mirror assembly from up the street after the shits threw it away .

Can the assembly be repaired or do I have to get a new one , the main damage is the piece of metal that connects the mirror to the door support ( its sheered off ) . The mirrows smashed and the wires cut but thats not a major problem.

Can anyone help or suggest anything ( besides finding the scum and hanging them )

I looked through some old posts because I`m sure I saw someone selling bits , but could not find it

My car is a Black NA Jap import 1991

Regards

KEV

Hi,

I had the same problem last year. With an import car, the mirrors are electrically folding, and a replacement costs a small fortune.

I managed to get a replacement from a breakers yard who advertised in Autotrader. There are a few breaking import 300Z's now.

luckily with my mirror, the casing was undamaged, so I just removed the internal workings and swapped them over.Cost was about £100.
