central locking help

since i got my car the passenger door central locking has been a bit hit and miss, because i dont use the car all week normally the battery can get a bit low and it used to be then that it wouldnt work. the drivers door would lock but not the passenger. after a drive it would then work again. this got worse over time and now i have to maually lock it. the key or the button work to do this. im assuming that the connection that send the signal to lock is corroded and has now become too corroded or detached to work. it does by the way unlock via the central locking. ive got some free time this saturday morning so in spirt of the fact its minus 3 here atm i dont wanna be outside too long. can anyone shed some light as to what the problem could be to save me alotta time and allow me to stay cold for the smallest amount of time possible. i dont mind getting cold for something tahts fun but an eletrical problem doesnt cut it in my eyes as fun. :/ any help greatly recived.
