Anyone tried this yet? Having looked at the $75 for the RS232 bluetooth dongle + the lead it seems alot but for diagnostic without wires it's an ace idea especially working with the phone next you in the engine bay and no silly laptops! :clap:

If you have a '96 onwards car with obd2, get a bluetooth dongle that plugs directly into your obd2 socket and there's a whole load of apps available. One can even give you a current bhp read out.

Yeah, but there aren't many 1996+ cars on here ! Plus ODB2 "standards" seem to be a little variable until approx 2004/5.

i had a look at this the soft ware can be purcahsed for 3.48 fromn the andoird market its just the transfer equipment thats the pricey bit. could a normal cable not be used? rather than relying on expensive bluetooth technology?
