at the end of the month,I am going to get some bits and bobs for the zed, these are a boost gauge ,but i was wondering should i go for one that shows the pressure in psi,or bar? and where would i get a good chip for the ecu,my car is an auto,so would i have to get an auto specific chip?

so this month I will be busy, with the chip, boost gauge and the series 4 spoiler from jap.slapper,I take it there is no difference between the lwb,&swb spoilers?

Personally I would get a gauge that's in psi, I find it easier than bar but it's down to personal choice. Zedworld or John Dixon for the chip. Are you going for an EBC?

I reckon you need one like this mate, 2 bar HKS boost gauge

and for £50 delivered it's pretty cheap

Genuine HKS, imported from Japan, it display's in bar (up to 2 bar), the internal screws look like they have a bit of surface rust on them but it still works 100%, no pipework or cable

as for Psi, couldn't you fit a boost gauge that displays in Psi?

Electronic Boost Controller mate. Getting the car chipped won't increase your boost but it will prepare the fuel map for a higher boost. To increase boost you need to use an EBC or mig jets (welding tips pushed into one of the vac lines coming from the tub). Getting your car chipped and an EBC will see you getting 14 to 16psi on full whack and that's a massive difference to stock.

Never sen the point in having a gauge in Bar as you would ever only run around 1 bar, so the needle would always sit a tiny bit below or a tiny bit over. At least in PSI you can see more exactly what boost your running down to the last digit.

Cars running high boost, yeah a Bar gauge is no problemo....
