Hmm... you serious? That is interesting...If however you book in your car at an MOT station and it fails.... what is the law with regards to then getting the car home?

i am pretty sure you can drive it home to do the repairs i would say the red lyon is kinda on your route home from Reading! And yep i am serious

yes, you can drive to and from a pre-booked MOT without tax or MOT

Yes mate, I'm looking forward to it. I managed to get my car booked in for an MOT with Dave (pub Owner)....... however it is at 8.30am!!!!! I don't even know what 8.30am looks like!!!

 

Just spent the day trying to sort a few bits like a rusty indicator bulb holder and the sodding washer jets so as to give her a fighting chance of passing tomorrow.... we'll see. Annoying though as i wanted to finish off the window trims and give her a clean and polish... but heigh ho, such is life.

 

On a plus note, i phone the insurance company to renew my policy, but she is still insured and all up to date, so bit of a bonus there. Likewise i managed to borrow a dremmel off a mate and have choped up my undertray and managed to make it fit back on so there is no gaping hole underneath now... which is nice.

 

See you all tomorrow for a decent bit of pub grub!!!

yeah, that does suck mate, but on the other hand you will be taking the money.... so pros and cons and all that!

 

Also Dave, how far is the garage from the pub please, and is there anything to do round those parts to keep me busy from 9.30 till lunch? my concern is that the thing won't be taxed, so even if.... i mean when :whistling: it passes i still won't be able to drive anywhere other than home really..

Bring your docs fella, there is a post office up the road from the garage that does tax.

 

There is Tescos opposite with a Costa in it. The Lyon is a good 20-25 mins away though.
