Hi,

Thinking of going for some Meister coilovers for my SWB.

Seen lots of people on here say they are very good over worn out originals. Mines not doen any miles so wondering if ill see much difference over stock??

Whats best version S or Version R???

Anybody tried both or got any feedback?

somewhere it was said about steering vibration in the pillow ball mounts from Version R's is this right???

Cheers

I hope not as I've got the R's fitted but not driven on them yet. But having any adjustable suspension over stock is better than OEM.

ive got R`s and no problems here

Dunno where you saw about steering vibration but i suspect it was down to that person having worn out bushes somewhere else then lowering the car which could highlight them bushes. Zeta R`s are nothing short of outstanding.

Steering vibration is due to an imbalance in rotational mass i.e wheel balancing ect, buggerall to do with solid pillow ball mounts!

Think ill go for the R's.

Going to be using 18" Nismo GT3's.

Is it worth going for the tension rods/camber arms and the other bits???

Cheers

Ive got the S and am very pleased with them, they live up to the hype!

Whats the ride like on the S compared to standard? I have some in the shed but ain't got round the haven't them fitted yet

its feels great. much better handle than stock ones. Higher speed doing cornering, much more stiffer. Great for the track use and street as well. soft mode for street is perfect if you will adjust to more stiffer bumper that's great for track.

Great coilovers I will definitely recommend you. In performance way it's will change your car to different level.

It is advisable to get the whole lot as you will be lowering the car so it puts other angles out which then with adjustable parts can be set up properly by a good garage with all the technical kit. If not there is potential for uneven wear and handling problems

well even on soft dumper is quit bumpy, but is al right for daily use.

but if you want soft suspensions you dont need coilovers ( coilovers is more suitable for race not a comfort)

Ithink you can buy just lowered suspension spring and its will be softer and smother

If you need a performance not comfort definitely take coilovers !

Get rid of the meister suspention then. Lol. I feel every bump in the road but it handles really well. I love them.

dunno what you are doing to it cos mine is really comfy and im on around the middle setting on the damper. Although i do have the shorty version with different spring rates

Mine is very bumpy, but i set the preload nice and harsh cause i like that kind of ride! ill be setting my preload back to stock preload as the roads around mine are terrible, so ill give you an update when i get to drive it again.. Still recommend them though awesome piece of kit for the price.

Having driven Mikeys car with Meisters on the hardest setting (at the time) and my own Z with the Tein Type HAs on, I can safely say that the Meisters are NOWHERE NEAR as bumpy or as firm and hard as the Teins are. Mikeys was lowered quite far down and set quite firm and I still felt comfortable, unlike in mine with the Teins where I felt like I was in a tumble drier with rocks in! I can't WAIT to get my Meister R Zeta-Rs on this weekend.

I had tien monoflex i think they were on before the miester R's. and having wound the preload up my miesters are far more 'bumpy' than my tiens and i havent even put them as harsh as they go, and as for the damping its around midway!

Shows the miesters can cater for a wide band of needs.
