can anyone recommend a place to get brake discs re-skimmed / resurfaced in the west midlands .

also any idea of the cost

the way i saw it, the lip is off the contact area, so getting rid (even sometimes to a VERY slight taper to aid in new pad fitting) wouldn't make any difference. as i said, someone will probably tell me differently lol

on a lathe mark . he also scimmed the centres to make them 100% true . mine only needed a light scim , he quoted £15-£20 per disc depending on how bad they were .

been quoted £115 for on the hub skimming .... my discs are 2 parts alloy hub with steel rotor ... i know a few guys with lathes but i thought it would be best to have them done on the car
