Hi guys Decided to try do some work to my wheels myself,

Some wet and dry paper from 60 to 2500,

autosol metal polish and cotton cloth,

halfords can of grey primer, and gloss black,

I pulled the metal lips off(fake polished rim Stuck over the edge of wheel) which had black powder coat underneath,

And pulled all the allen keys out (decided to leave these out for the moment)

will get them done in the shop 1day but i think they look ok for the moment,

I aint the best sprayer and never polished any metal before, and dont think i willbe polishing anymore in a hurry, my hands were bleeding, and have no finger prints left..5hrs on each wheel all by hand never again,

well here is some pics:

one wheel with lip removed and powder coat:

They allready have started, got to polish them again, went to my mums the other night and they salted the roads why i was there, and had to drive home,

There covered in salt, and gone dull, was a good idea why it lasted not to sure now i will be cleaning them every day, And the zed aint much better looks great when cleaned but its white so with in 5mins its filthy.

Will any wax do or is it a special wax i would need.

Great work mate and use some rimwax to protect them I use it and highly recomend it plus it smells like bubblegum:thumbup:

But can u eat it lol, i cant be trusted around things that smell like bubble gum,

Will get some dont think i wanna be polishing these to often.

Wonder how long it would take to do a whole bonnet, on a black car may look good.

My luck i would start taking paint off and find a great big lump of filler.

Are they wolfrace or ruff racing, , mine are stamped up ruff racing 278,

But look the same as wolfrace wheels.

There a mission to polish, and the fake chrome bit comes off easy took 15mins to do all 4, thought i would have to take tyres off but they just split in half and pull out, (be careful they are razor sharp)

And i removed allen bolts so could paint them, and left them out. just hammered a flat head screwdriver into each one twisted them and pulled them out.

Goodluck..

Also your convertible zed looks stunning.

Thanks Terry, yeh, mine used to say Wolfrace on them until I pulled the sticker off and replaced with a `Z` one, I`ve always wondered if the tyres needed to be removed so another question answered (thanks), I deffo need to get this job done as it always bugs me when I see it, then forget and slice my hand and sponge open when cleaning the bloody thing

Thanks for the comment on my vert, Love it to bits :cool3:
