battery relocation cable sizes

Hi all,

 

Has anyone relocated the battery to the boot? If so what guage cables did you use?

I understand the longer the distance the bigger the guage should be.

Also how many cables did you run to what locations etc.

    I just went to my local welding supply shop and got some double walled power cable, wasn't cheap but really good cable, about 30 quid for 5 or 6 metres.

     

    Just ran that from front to rear then earth strap to the strut tower.
