But does anyone have any advice how to adjust actuator to work on 18PSI boost ? I know is got 14psi spring in but I done know how much I need to adjust wastegate :(

Featured Replies

what sort of power is this good for?

620+bhp world lightest, strongest and fastest spooling turbos. this turbos dont have turbo lag at all!

Very nice!

Can you tell us where you got them and what they set you back? I know MarkDerby on here is weighing up different turbos and prices

They are good turbo's, I've replied on your other thread re the wastegates.

What are your other mods and plans?

Have you got anymore details on these as I would like to see how they compare against the speciality z ones

Cheers Mark look like very good turbos but I wouldn't say they are the best necessarily you would still need all the rest to get them sort of bhp figures

there is no best turbo, depends on what results you want and what you want to spend on turbo vs supporting mods

Well yeah If people want to run massive horse power over 700bhp + and feel massive turbo lag thats good, for the bhp that turbo presenting, is probably the best, got more torque that any other turbo. You not ganna found better turbo for that horse power capability which will run that much torque and will not have a turbo lag.

I had this turbo before and its was absolutely stunning. I had 370bhp on low boost and was easily over taking 450bhp cars and thats shows that is more torque than other turbos.

I love tham I test them and I done want any other turbo, this turbos can run 620bhp + so that more than enough to have a lot of fun :D

same same type of power as the GT2560R there rated at 340each ...

well anyways i just paid for mine today so now i'm 1700 lighter in my pocket ...

Is there any sort of graphs for these turbos to show performance?

There's a few in the US, very similar to the HKS 2530 in terms of performance, maybe a little more up top.

Can someone explain how you go about reading turbo charger specs?

The bits i've gathered so far are ball bearing is best right? 360 degree bearing is second best? Lighter and balanced is better and staggered gap oil seals stop oil leaking into the exhaust at idle. The bigger the turbine the better im guessing but does a bigger turbine cause more lag. Fill me in, im new to turbos

Ball Bearing for High Performance

360 * Thrust Most modern turbos

270* Older to Modern turbos

Oil Seals theres about 3>4 types fitted but the staggard/crossed link is better

now with the turbine and Compressor sizes and A/R's this is where it gets to Tech even for me ...

Bigger Turbine will give more Lag this all so depending on the displacement on engine

Bigger Compressor is how much/fast if can give air/psi to the engine

but what ppl forget is that we use 2 turbos and only have 1.5l per turbo ...

so a Typical turbo that is Rated at 350hp is normally setup for an engine displacement of 2.0>2.5lt ..

this is the problem if we have a Large turbo we get mega lag before full spool and power, ish

so a Pair of 350hp turbos =700hp .. minus the a 3rd as we are not running turbos to full power this works out around 450>550 depending on turbo

Please correct me if i have it wrong

Cheers for that Mark, I thought that might be the case with the 1.5l per turbo as when I did some research into mine I found they were meant to be uprated turbo's for S14's.

If a turbo was originally built to use a 270 or 360 degree bearing can it be upgraded to ball bearing? What were yours to start with and what are they going to be once refurbed?

no turbos that used standard 270* thrust bearing can only be upgraded to 360* ..

my turbos that i have just got are New units not hybrids ...

when u do have turbos uprated normaly its just the bearing but Hybrids are some thing of unknown stuff ...

unless its all ready been tryed and tested like the ones on Z1 site .. but all theres are using older style mixed match t25/28 and use older style 4 bolt outlet flange ( exhaust )

this all so can give a bottle neck to the gas flow

the ones i have gone for GT2650r are True T28 Spec but better with A/R ratings and Ballbearing
