....what's the best way to clean them ,and what cleaner should I use?

With my car off the road at the moment(boo..hoo!), i thought i might clean them!

And if you take the butterflies out do the springs let go, if so whats the rotation re-set.

done mine a couple of weeks back buy two cans of choke and carb cleaner, one for each side and a toothbrush. disconnect battery neg first so ECU can reset afterwards remove intake pipes when car is warm much easier, jam open butterflys, keep spraying and scrubbing until clean. reconnect negative and start up this will take some doing smoke clears after about 2 mins of idle.

doing this cured my lumpy idle and my rpm is now 900 weras before it was 650rpm.
