speed converter problems

I have just fitted another speed converter into the car,As soon as I get over 60MPH,the steering gets heavy and when i slow down it still stays heavy,and then The Hicas light comes on

I have fitted the red wire from the converter to a live the black wire i have earthed it on the body,yellow wire to the gearboxside of the wire and the purple one to the clock side of the wire from the loom where am i going wrong or does anyone else have an idea,what to do next?

    I would earth the ground wire to the rear of the speedo (screws) it appears you may have an bad earth to the body
