I get no front or rear lights on (even side lights). if i more the headlight switch to full the main beem comes on even tho the control stalk is in the nutural position. The fogs have also stopped working.

i did have the main fuse box out in the driver footwell. Is there any headlight connections in that area. If so what plug???

cheers

I had light issues due to the passenger side targa drain leaking all over the block connectors in the passenger footwell.there is a white plastic frame in the corner with 4 connectors on it(2 white ones, abrown one and a black one), the conectors on these blocks were badly corroded and caused problems with the headlights etc.may be worth checking out to see if yours are wet.

first check the two fuses in the big box in the engine bay. once you confirm these are not blown, then as dill says above, if they are blown, still what dill says above as something blew them and we did have quick mad wind and rain last night.

both fuses in the engine bay are ok and i'v only just repiped the targa, will check the plugs again, maybe something has come loose killing the headlight control

still no joy. have checked all the connectors and they seem ok. did find the front fog light fuse had blown and replaced it.

cant work out why the main beem comes on when on dip

forgot to say its a s1 jap spec

I agree with Dill...

I did however have a similar problem with mine.... but I have HID's and one of the fuses and Ballasts had blown and it did the same think .... full beams came on...

once I replaced the blown fuse and ballast it was fine.... I also installed a relay for the HID's as they do draw more power and since I did the high beam mod to keep the low beams on at the same time I just wanted to ensure it didn't happen again... (I know people say it isn't needed)...

driver footwell fuse box top row 3rd(?) fuse from left (10A?) if it blows it causes all those symptoms

the main ones in the engine bay would cause both dipped and main headlights to fail

ah yes problem solved. after checking all the fuses as a last resort the Clearance ILLUMI fuse was blown.

funny how one fuse caused me to loose hours worth of tinkering :(

Cheers for all the help
