does anyone know which connector the horn is located on in this pic?

also on other pictures i have seen, there is a black connector next to the big brown connector. Am i missing some wiring?

Does the water pipe for the targer come in around this area, i cant find the pipe

1 The horn cable connector is located on the steering colomn half way down on the silver bracket

2 Due to multi fit looms and option differences there is sometimes spare plugs

3 The targa pipe is behind the fuse box, this needs removing to get access, link to how to thread with pics here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=146736&highlight=targa+pipes

cheers for the replies.

I take it the passenger side drain plug can only be found by taking the wing off then?

so the horn cable comes straight from the engine bay fuse box to the steering column?

Think you can get to it by taking out the arch liner. So long ago that I have been in that area. But I would try the liner first

No need to take the wing off, much easier to take the fuse box out, see the link in my previous post.

Yes the horn cable comes from the steering column to the relay under the bonnet.

The horn cable is an earth return not a power cable, if you have a cable issue between the steering wheel and the relay which I have dealt with several times the easiest option is to just pull a new cable through rather than waste time looking for the fault.

the tube for the passenger side comes down the A pillar inside the car and then connects to a L shaped tube that empties out into the wing, bit of a stupid design, but not as bad as the rear targa pipes, its accessible if you get down into the passenger foot well and reach your arm up inside the car towards the A pillar.

If you open the door and have a look at the gap between the door and the wing, you will be able to see the exit pipe so you can judge just about how far up you have to reach.

I did the passenger side targa drain recently and found it easier to unbolt the white plastic frame that holds the block connectors in the corner to reach the pipe.on mine the pipe had shrunk so replaced the whole pipe, removed the rubber tube that passes through the inner wing, attached the pipe to it securely then poked the end back into the hole and then pulled it back through the inner wing using a pair of 12" artery forceps (left over from my pike fishing days!)to grip the end and pull it into position.good job I removed the block connectors as the wiring was shot due to the pipe draining onto the wiring.
