now i have a squeeky wheel

Can you believe my wheel on the drivers side has started to sqeek(sounds like a rattling metal chain)anybody any ideas,its not the brakes as the pads are about half worn.

stripped rear brake pads & discs, cleaned & greased, reassembled, still the same!!

Rob B had this problem a while back...

 

A new wheel bearing, abs sensor and other bits later he found out it was the tyre!!! I think the banding had gone inside but the tyre showed no kind of bulging - answer is to swap the wheel with a known good one wink.gif

my pads are ok on the outside but worn on the inside
