Whereabouts is the counter weight?, and how does it come off? :)

behind the right hand trim. just a couple of 10mm bolts probably.

whats teh purpose of it? i noticed this chunk of metal when i was fitting my spoiler.

The reason the spoiler and counter weight are so heavy id imagine is to help put weight on the back wheels to aid traction.

not really bothered about weight distribution really... once my fat arse climbs in it's all gone to pot anyway :)

I was thinking the counter weight may well have been due to the weight of the wiper motor... i did notice the tailgate being a little one sided when i removed the wiper motor, until i removed the counter weight :confused1:
