Hi,

Started the car and left it running for 5 mins or so, got in and could smell petrol pretty strong, poped the bonnet and could smell it on the drivers side, can not see a leak. Any common problems with a uk TT zed?

car has always ran rich since getting it, wonder if thats part of the problem.

cheers mark.

Hi Mark,

when the weather gets colder it is common for the rubber fuel hoses to contract a bit; then petrol can seep out at all the joints with the metal pipework.

An easy fix is to go round with a screwdriver and tighten up all of the jubilee-type clips on the rubber hoses.

That normally does the trick; unless you have a morer serious leak!
