Hi guys, HAPPY CHRISTMAS..

Had a strange backfire on my car, Which had another thread,

Cut the long story short, blip the throttle to 2100rpm in neutral and soon as the revs start falling i get a backfire and quite loud too.

Been through everything on the bloody car, today fitted ngk plugs and 6 coils,

and still the same,

Changed

ECU,

PTU,

CAS,

AIRFLOW METER,

6 COILS AND SPARK PLUGS,

TPS CHANGED and set to 0.45v,

CHANGED COIL PACK RELAY,

FUEL PUMP RELAY AND ECU,

Checked timing and set to 15btdc, even took cambelt off to make sure aligned properly,

Checked for air leaks and perfect,

Checked ohms on injectors, checked and cleaned injector connectors,

02 sensors are ok,

Wiggled and checked as much of the loom as possible,

The one thing i noticed i stripped the AIR REGULATOR and the spring inside is mangled wondering has anyone else had any problems with one and could it cause a backfire..also only does the backfire when warm while cold its perfect.

Its really driving me nuts now,

I know its bit of a drive bud, but do you think you would be in for a trip up to mine so we can get it on consults?

Try setting your TPS to a slightly higher voltage, say 0.55V and see is it makes a difference

Have a go after christmas mate, post up if it makes a change, thank you.
