Hi Guys.

I have the following wheels on my car. I like these because they are different.

However the back one has developed a crack as shown below.

Ive taken them to Romax in Stockton. Hes been around for years and has a good reputation. However he said he cannot repair these spilt rims, there may be a specialist who can though.

Questions are, has anybody got any of these lying around to buy or does anybody know of a specialist that can repair them..

If not Ive already decided I want a set of 5 spoke black wheels with a polished rim..

Cheers

Kev

I'm sure others will say differently, but personally I don't recommend repairing alloys, seen too many go wrong. Unless the repair is of the absolute highest quality, the wheel will be weakened at the point of the repair.

I reckon that crack is too deep to repair, if it were near the rim then it may be possible, but nearer the centre like that - no.

agreed - we often get wheels repaired where they crack at the rim without any problems at all - but where that is cracked I would say it is not repairable (safely!)

Hi i have the same wheels , they are Mahdi Ceaser and i understand quite rare, , i like mine and am keeping hold of them , however i am minus 1 of the centre caps soooooooo, if you get rid of yours perhaps you will sell me the centres from your own ?????

cheers

I think you'll struggle to get anybody to repair that and blend it in.

Are they 17's or 18's bud?

They are 18's, larger at the back..

Hi Neil,

If I decide they have to go Ill give you a shout, but like you I really like them. Tried like mad to get hold of copies etc.. You have gone one better than me in finding a name. I may try and keep them until I can find another. purchase another set to tide me over and then use them as track wheels.
