Pay £75 or £150 and it doesnt make a lot of difference, i have bought at both prices and found neither better or worse than the other, but depends if you want discs for track use or standard driving.

Yup - what Graham said.....

......in fact on Ebay, you can buy a pair of Brembo "stock replacement" discs for around £78.

For that money, I'd buy those and not bother with an unknown make of drilled or grooved items. At least you have the Brembo quality!!

They will be just fine for normal road use; you can get a set of Brembo pads too for about £25!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Thanks Groover.. for now its a case of putting better stoppers on it for road use. The brake fade is terrible. So until I can afford some better kit, want to try and improve it. I find after some heavy braking, currently there is nothing left, scares the crap out of me..

Was looking at the Brembos but stumbled across these.

Do you get a lot of fade on them Richard?

At the moment, any spirited driving really affects the brakes...

So far - no, I am very pleased with them mate.....!

But I have also just had new calipers fitted as well though; and now the car brakes like new!

haha.. I noticed that.

Got it right underneath though...

As Richard mentioned about brembo, im using pads and discs made by brembo and seem fine so far, but for a low budget you cant go far wrong.

If you want great brakes then you need to look at a size upgrade.

you could try some braided lines and some dot 4 it really helped my prelude id have happily tracked it after i put the dixel carbon pad and discs on as well they were some of the most solid brakes ive felt

Have always used a company called mtec on eBay, had them on last two track cars done multiple Laos if nur with no issues, if you get fade get braided lines, main benefit if them is keeping brake fluid cooler.

The brake fade is terrible.

Brake fade can be caused by other parts of the system such as underperfoming rear brakes, and brake fluid properties can also change from repeated overheating.

thanks for the info Gents.. I was looking at the braided lines as well. the claim is a much firmer pedal press? The fluid cannot expand but the rubber does flex a little, therefore a softer, longer pedal press. The braided hoses dont do this?

Ive been told you can really feel the difference...?

I never notice much difference in feel tbh, but main reason I go for them is heat, I got the info off the person with the best track set up and most powerful car on here so I trust him!
