Compressor clutch

How do you tell if the magnetic clutch at the front of the aircon compressor is engaging? I see the belt and the pulley spinning but is the disc bit in front of it with bits of metal plate screwed on it also s'ppose to spin when the clutch is engaged?? Cheerz guyz

    yes, when the compressor clutch engages,the whole pulley will spin. otherwise it just freewheels where the belt drives it.
