HICAS problems lighting up once again

ive just cleaned the engine compartment,a quick wipe!

then i tried to start my car...dead as a doornail,f*ck,anyway after going round the engine compartment again (a few wiggle of the wires)hey presto the car starts when i put the key in,great thank f*ck for that !

so now!i decide to go and get some optimax and barstard hicas light comes on ,

what do you reckon guys a few more wiggles

or sledge hammer!!!!

Jay, check the HICAS reservoir and see if it's a bit low on fluid. You got an aftermarket steering wheel fitted? Could be that the steering wheel is slightly misaligned which means that the signal being sent back to the ECU is not accurate. Usually summat simple mate. wink.gif

no aftermarket steering wheel fitted,check my other post m8 THE HICAS DIDNT COME ON THIS TIME!

my power steering is erratic, sometimes hard to steer sometimes easy.

the hicas codes are as follows:

1. one v long flash

2. four small flashes

3. one long flash

4. two small flashes

5. two long flashes

6. one v long flash

 

please could anyone reply with the correct results,

Just a point of interest as this is probably your problem.

 

I recently found out the hard way that If your car is low on power then your HICAS is the first thing to go i suggest that you either havea power drain such as a short somwhere ! which is related to your car not starting also !
