Dont no what they were doing but top gear have been filming where i live on the isle of sheppey,

 

And the new release of The sweeney.

I was trying to justify the extra 40 quid on a top gear edition sat nav i saw in a catalogue yesterday, top gear logo's and clarkson directions in it... i guess they justify the price given clarksons social status.

I got a sat nav for my birthday a few weeks ago, if I had of known my wife was getting me one I would of said to get the Top Gear TomTom as I would love to tell Clarkson to feck of every time I made a wrong turn as he starts to give off lol Not a bad price in Halfords.

Yeah top gear tomtom is the one i was looking at, just saw it in a catalogue and went hmmm, could i really justify the extra if i were to buy one.

Keep them clarkson tom toms lads as they got banned by the bbc, so all the proceeds are being donated to charity......

 

The run they have made is the only editions they will do.

Clarkson has a clause in his contract prohibiting him from doing anything car related without the bbc.

 

They kicked up a fuss but didnt want the bad publicity so agreed to let tom tom sell the ones they made, but donate the proceeds to charity..

Doesn't really make sense, it's not like its just clarksons voice its got the gear gear brand all over it which is owned by the BBC so surely they had to get permission to use the logo etc?

I must be getting old, all I saw was them ruin a couple of cars that actually looked ok for no real reason. Why they couldnt ruin a couple of 'reasonably priced cars' instead of a running XJS that resolutely fought to the end and didnt break down, a nice mini and a roller (never been a big fan of them but it looked ok), it just seemed to be a shame.

 

I almost feel like one of the damned marina owners at the moment as they seemed to just kill off some ok old cars for the hell of it. That and it was genuinely getting boring by the end of the program.

My thoughts exactly,dont get me wrong i loved top gear but some of the cars they are ruining now is a joke to get more laughs !! and showing Clarkson releasing r12 gas to ruin Mays air con was just plain daft,thats a fine of up to 10k in this country i was told on an A/C course.Its got predictable and rather purile imho.
