Just wondering if anybody has any experience with the FMIC kits floating around eBay.

Is there really that much difference between one of these and say a HKS at more than double the price?

Not being funny mate mate but you would be best making sure that the engine is running sweetly and hasn't got any issues with it before you look at upgrades.

There are a few really cheapo universal ones. Then the one linked to, around the £225 mark which appear to be direct fit/design for the Z.

 

I'll certainly be doing some research in to them before i go down this route. Would love to hear if somebody on here has one of these fitted

I bought one for mine.

Never got round to fitting it so somebody from here bought it.

I went for it because my mate bought one for his 200sx and was good. Only thing we could fault were the clips. He just bought some better ones from B&Q.

i've got that exact intercooler on my zed, fitted after zedworld checked mine over and chipped it, apart from a few clearance issues actually a very good product for the money

 

(sits lower then the bumper slightly and had to trim the bumper to make it fit properly,)

 

just dont do what i did and put the pipes on the wrong way round,...lol

I,ve fitted the Autobahn one , i think it,s a HKS erm " lookalike " lol.

Had no quality issues at all , in fact i was very impressed and it is made to fit the zed properly , i,m even using the air filter set up that comes with it and had no probs at all :thumbup: HTH

air filter is a squash, hangs low, pipes a bit wide, but works perfectly.

think the Autobahn one looks like the one to go for.

'Monster' used to run an autobahn fmic when he had a zed and that was making 600 brake, so can't be too shoddy

Im running nigh on 500 through the Autobahn one and boost is ok and not laggy so id say its ok for the money,that other is shocking.Pipes rust and the core aint up to much.
