hi guys ive just gotton the zx bug and got myself a 300zx nismo tuned, whatever that is, not sure. its a sound engine but on first start up i get a smell of petrol, theres no leaks or anything but soon as its warmish it goes away. anyone offer me advice.

very very very common. pop the bonnet, on the plenum theres a plastic throttle cover under there at the front you will find a rubber pipe, with two jubeliees on it, thats probally the culprit. moving further back still under the cover is another one that goes from the fpr under the plenum that also is a common leaker. try investigating on a cold engine with a torch. soon as its warm the pipe expands and seals the leak. hth
