As the title says really, the car has the HICAS lockout bar in place, but I'm not convinced it's definitely adjusted right. Mikey did have it up on ramps to check the tracking, but the Kwik Fit he was working at, at the time, didn't have the 4 wheel alignment stuff, so we kinda had to guess and bodge it as best we could.

I've just bought some adjustable top arms for the rear from ZX-TT, and plan to buy the rest of the adjustable suspension bits for both front and rear in the coming months, at which point, it's going to need a full geo setup with the help of lasers. I know the Kwik Fit Mikey is at now has the 4 wheel tracking alignment tools, but I'm doubting it supports the geo settings, although perhaps I should ask him, lol. Anyone know a decent, reputable tuning garage in the north, that has this kit and can do the job? Don't mind if it's over in Liverpool, or over in Hull or whatever, just want to be able to go there and get it sorted when the car is ready.

Dunno about the north mate but the kwik fit I went to get it done couldn't do it as their kit don't support lowered cars. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah that's what I thought. I used to have the same problem with the GTR, but not because of lowering, because the wheels were too big! They were only 17s!!!! But then we are talking nearly 10 years ago when 17s weren't anywhere near as common place as they are now. There used to be a reputable tuning place over Liverpool way that supposedly could do it, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, that's where I was going to take the GTR, but ended up finding somewhere while I was down south instead.

Theres a place in Teesside I believe does, all computerised so you get to see all the readings before it comes off. Bit far for you guys to come though?

I don't mind a long drive as such, although I don't particularly want to scrub an entire set of tyres in getting it aligned, lol. Was really hoping there might be somewhere close by that someone knew of. I mean South Yorkshire used to be like the hub of modified cars, with Donny show being the first of the year in April and the Donny cruise at one point being the biggest in the country etc. etc. But it's all died, thanks to the fuzz and now it seems like owning a modified car in the north is just a ball ache! :(

Tyre shop in bentley does it. There have full 4wheel laser tracking and are a good price too.

You mean Hi-Q? Are they still there? Haven't been through Bentley for a while now and when I have been, I've been all eyes on the road because of the stupid parking people do down there!

The only true way to set a car up 100% is to string it and there’s an art to doing it right as well, also if you have adjustable platforms on your struts you can corner weight a car as well, we do it with the race and rally cars.

One of the best I've been to is Elite in Barking just off the A13

Full Laser and alignment for every suspension component if it's adjustable, and will align to specific spec requirements

Hollowpoint, take it to a good suspension tuning place, these Kwik fit type places will not have the necessary experience. Try searching for Suspension tuning for Elise's/Porsche's. Expect to pay £250-£350 for the job to be done right as it's a days work!

Nice link Bigh cheers bud :D

We use a scale under each wheel to set the corner weights and I don’t mean bathroom scales and string the car to set the tow in and out and a camber gauge for the camber.

Use this system on the Subaru's, Mazda touring car, the XR2's and Catherams, all race, rally or sprint cars.

We set a Seat Leon Cup car up for a lad this year and he was 2 seconds a lap faster around Island at Oulton Park.

Had my TVR Cerbera corner weighted, was the best money I ever spent on her.
