two things please: problem with the locks, and step by step guide for manual swap

right, for some reason. when my battery charge is low the passenger door wont lock, you can do it with akey but it doesnt work with the central locking when i arm the alarm.

it does however unlock, and tahst been going on for a while which is fine normally soon as i drive it it charges upo and it works. but since my battery died when my alt died it is doing it constantly. the only time i stopped it when i drove the car every day when i was on holiday the other week. :s

maybe the battery just needs a full charge up? any ideas guys?

second one much easier is, is there a step by step gyuide for the manual conversion, ive collected the parts list and the wiring mod. i can work out the obvious stuff such as unbolting the box and all that jazz but i want to do it right and i want to do it in a fair amount of time not take a month over it. i was hoping to do it all in a day. i read about a steel line taht runs from the res being impossible to ft with the engine in? anyone shed any light on this?

Alot of people will tell you things are impossible with z's and can't be done, really depends how determined you are, everybody said i couldn't remove my EGR with the motor in, took all of 2 minutes once the plenum was off.

Just put the steel line on and hang the slave cylinder there, hook up the other end to the clutch master, put the box on put the slave on bleed it good to go.

Havn't seen any step by step write up, it's pretty straight forward.

Perhaps google for a skyline or silvia manual conversion how to, far more likely to find something and the same process.

You might struggle to do it in a day mate, Mikey Bean has done several of these now and only just did Roses one in a day. I'd say allow yourself 2 - 3 days if you've never done it before. I believe there is a guide on here? But I have no idea where it is.

Don't bother with the oem master to slave line, it's too fussy, get the braided master to slave and you can fit it with engine and box in! If you want an idea I have one on mine as I removed the oem spaghetti piping
