ok guys just got a quote for the Z, 91 manuel N/A. im 21, 1yr NCB, no crashes.drive parked. 3000 miles a year.Adrian Flux-£4095.Elephant- if i pay monthly £393. if i pay all out £1743.

This is Ridiculous!!! i mean ive had a tt before and that was 2k a year to insure, my 328i was only 1600 a year. why dont they understand, im not a boy racer i dont want to crash my corsa into Tesco... i dont want them to come and fix my car if it gets damaged, all i want is third party to be covered just incase.and to be legal to drive my baby to meet my friends with the same cars, take the mrs to the beach or events that require a little extra...Z effect.

Damn you mister insurance Man

anyone got any ideas?

im 25 2 crashes 9 points 2 yrs NCB pay £387 a month..

Insurers just pull figures out their ass IMO. It's apparently cheaper to insure my 1990 TT than it is an NA, I'm looking at roughly £1300 a year for a TT I'm 23 with 2 years NCB.

agreed, i was paying £415 fully comp on a 1.4l citroen ZX, where as a twinturbo 300zx is costing me just £330 fully comp talk about strange.

WHAT !!!! thats cheap as sainsburys own Beans!!!

why is it so much, its just not reasonable, i thought bout getting a loan and payin that back monthly, would work out loads cheaper, but still,2k !!!. i will pay £200 a month happily to drive my Z. but anymore than that is really takin the urine.

so what theif in a suit company quoted you that price then?

Try admiral. I'm paying £750ish on my TT at 22.

HOW? i just dont get it i just ran another quote thru gocompare. and theres one from elephant. 2200 all in. check for monthly.

the rest wher 4k +

at this rate im gona have to keep Z of the road until im 35 and just get a bloody Gee Whiz. Argh, nothing infuriates me more than car insurance. it just does.

its cheaper to be fully comp than anything else, + i put my mrs on it and it goes down about a grand. the 2200 was with her on it. Ridiculous

wait until your 25, i think people who pay hundreds a month on car insurance are just pissing money away i pay £165 for the year fully comp on a classic policy 8k miles allowance

24, 1yncb, uk tt auto, 1 no fault claim 850 a year fully comp with admiral try putting fully comp down it actualy cut around £800 off mine weird i know but im guessing all the little boy racers put their cars down as third party only then go plough into a merc/bmw or something

im gona ring admiral and try n sort sumin out. or performance direct. im not wasting 4 years of my life waiting to fulfil my passion for cars for the sake of not shopping around. im really suprised by what you guys are paying and its given me hope that there is a way

I paid £670 last year for my TT import, slicktop fully comp etc. I'm 24, 4 or 5 years NCB and no points etc. Thats through admiral, I used to be with adrian flux who originally were £700 or so when I was 21/22/23 etc that was with my Old TT and the M3, but then they went expensive for some reason!. Dreading this year, but renewal is in january so wont be long until I find out!

tbh i cant speak highly enough of admiral i got a quote from go compare of 1000 from admiral which was the cheapest and the american guy i spoke to actualy went out of his way to get my quote down even more and eventualy got it down to the 850 i pay now

Try Graham Sykes, my annual premium is £500 fully comp.

24 years old, clean license, 7 years no claims on a '98 Jap TT all mods declared.

Mine was £2000 when I was 23 and came down to £1400 when I was 24. Went back up to £2200 when I was 25 lol! Tried classic car insurance and it was more from one place and another told me it had to be english to get classic car insurance.

Thank god I have trade insurance now

I have no claims bonus since 17. This is the second year I've had that car, first year I was paying £1300. All mods declared and at a decent postcode.

Have you tried adding your parents or girlfriend/wife as named drivers? This can sometimes help bring premiums down...

AdrianFlux were the only ones that would insure me when i was 22 with all the mods i have. But there prices have gone really high recently.

I was paying about £800ish but that was tpff and thats kept on a drive and a seriously safe area. possibly the lowest. full no claims and no points etc.

I have no idea how some on here can get quotes at such cheap rates it makes no sence. When i ring up most of them mentioned above said no because of my age and i had to be 26??

Insurance is just made up imo.

I did a go compaire on my new car it was like £480 so i adjusted the date i wanted it to start for a week later and it came down to £395. stupid

Im 25 with 3 years ncb 3 points paying 800 fully comp I shopped round loads couldnt get any cheaper its a jap tt. Lots wantedme to be 30 I only do 3k a year in it.

i tried grahma sykes they quoted me £5374 with a £750 excess.

oo yes please bargain....:(

im gona keep trying but its not looking good....

Admiral- £1900 one off payment. £3369 total pay monthly, £269 a month.

getting lower i gues lol.

Cause if you're over 25, you can get classic insurance on cars 20 years and older. Sometimes you need to be 28+ and the car can be 15 years old, it varies from company to company.

LOL - I wasn't a boy racer either, infact I was an excellent driver. It wasn't until someone pointed out that 5 crashes (2 of them lucky not to sustain life changing injuries) in as many years doesn't qualify you as a good driver! Of course, that all happened before I was 25.. Since then I've developed a healthy sense of self preservation.

Doesn't matter how loud you shout, to an insurance company you are merely a statistic. But you should be able to get your premium down a bit. Don't forget your postcode makes a big difference - try looking at a house for sale in your area on findaproperty.com to view crime stats in your area..

I paid 1700 quid a year on my skyline 2.0 N/A. I then found out it would have cost the same to insure a 2.5GTS-t. But after 4 yrs it came down to about 700 quid, I still pay that now.. 33yrs, 8NCB, 0 points.

I'm with Bell which is owned by Admiral (along with Elephant) they all give me roughly the same quotes.

Insurance and the price of fuel combined has forced my Zed into hibernation recently with no signs of it making an appearance until my insurance drops, or I take up drug dealing as a secondary occupation lol

Im with elephant.

I completely agree they are all a ag of Sh1te. Im 32 5 years no claims no points. paid £780 fully comp for the year all mods declared. would be less but where i live is a part of the world normally on fire LOL.

This is how ridiculous they are. I went from an Audi S8 4.2 V8 to a Nissan Primera Gt 2.0.

Mainly to have 12 months cheap motoring LOL., I pay up front normally....

Admiral told me that the ins for the nissan was only £80.00 per year different than the Audi... hence they only gave me £40.00 back after the admin charge to cancel....

Explain this to me;

Audi S8 4.2 V8 Group 50 (as it was then)

Nissan Primera GT 2.0L Group 13

£80.000 Yes £80.00 per year less. MY ARSE!!! is all i can say about that.......LOL
