Not sure on a price mate, but if I REALLY wanted something that unique and was into CF, I'd be prepared to pay something like £500 - £750. I suppose the answer is relative to the depth of ones pockets at the time?

i've got one and really like them. bought mine from chris new which was almost 500 iirc and next year im thinking of importing one that i loved from the u.s that i think works out at about 900.

^^ I'd agree with Hollowpoints price, although I could never afford one lol

Im looking at getting one imported from the US next year sometime before the car goes into the body shop, that so far i havent seen on anyone elses zed, in total its going to cost $800 for the bonnet, and $800 for shipping, not including import tax when i get stung, so around the £1200 mark.

Although thats a lot of cash for a bonnet, its going to be rare as rocking horse poo so paying for that more than the bonnet its self (well thats how im looking at it lol)

From another thread i made agggggessss ago, this is the one i want for mine, yes this is modeled on a 350z, but its the same maker and style as the 300zx one im going to get.

Oops yes I know the one its in freight now

you mean we are going to have the same bonnet when i eventually get mine? lol the AMS racing one?

Thought Andy Isherwood has or had one !!

Nice bonnet. I paid 500 for mine which is about right for the OEM looking bonnet I wanted. Do love the vents.

Must admit I'm not a CF fan usually, unless it's done right, and I do like the look of that one on the 350. It actually makes the 350 look good, so it must be kick ass! :D

What did he say about making noise? lol I think the point on the Z is more for the look than the weight ;)

With how light the standard bonnet is, is a CF one worth it?

think its more about looks and the extra cooling a vented one can bring rather than weight saving.

Im going for the look and extra cooling.

this is the one, not the best photo and sure doesnt look right on a white car, though might also be to do with the fact its slightly open as well.

not sure its actually open, just poor quality / bad fitment. Pretty typical with CF bonnets.

id say not closed as there are no securing pins in it yet. the one im getting looks exactly the same and the add states it needs closing pins fitted which are supplied.

Yeah, because of the poor fit

Cf bonnets are notorious for bad fitment, look at the one on the 350 u posted earlier,it fits like a welly in a shoe box, look at the lines of the wing then look at the bonnet :pinch:

There needed because it dosnt fit and needs to be pushed into shape

Its a horrid looking bonnet and will only ruin the look of your car ian. if your worried about cooling take off the rubber trim at the back of your engine bay. or even add bonnet spacers wich still look daft imo

well still going to get it and stick it on, will go with my blacked out roof bars and black 99 spec spoiler when i finally get around to fitting it.

if I was you mate I'd bolt it on. If you stick it on you wont be able to get to the engine.
