If you could get a minimum of £600 pounds worth of tyres with FREE Work Rezax 3 piece chrome edged split rim refurbed wheels for £290 would you say no?

Well 32 watchers on Ebay did!!!

I must say I'm highly surprised these did not sell this morning. I find it quite ridonkulous.

All about the timing, put them up again and it can be a different story.

If you want to be brave  start the bidding lower but of course you do risk losing them for something you will not be happy with.

If I can suggest putting the actual tyre tread depth instead of 'tons' as the pic does look like no more than 5mm perhaps less?

Best of luck

I can understand your reasoning behind not wanting couriers to deliver them but it is greatly reducing your market size. What about offering a courier at the buyers risk?

If it helps...since they were cheap I did look at them for putting on my z31 or to use as winter wheels on the z32 but some of the reasons I lost interest:

- doesn't really matter how much the tyres were when new, the sizes aren't good, not everyone (yourself included) likes the stretched look...the more rubber on the road the better

- the ad states you aren't sure of the widths, I know you from this forum but other ebayers don't know if they can trust a strangers guestimate of 8 inches, for all they know they might end up with weak 7 inch wheels - it’s not hard to measure them and put a definitive size on the ad

- no courier delivery available as you don't trust them with the wheels, you've just reduced your potential buyers massively to those within a reasonable radius of you

- you tell people that they have to work out for themselves if they will fit their car....but the only info they have to go on is a guestimate at the widths (jj as you state), there is no info on the offset which is so important when fitting wheels - IF they have a zed then they have the info on the spacers to go on, if they don't have a zed then they have no idea if these will fit with the info provided

- for the spacers you have "I'm told are 5x114.3 " which puts some doubt in the readers head...if they were fitted on a zed (which we all know they were) then they must be 5x114.3, its listed in a different font which looks like it was thrown in as a late edit, possibly a change from saying they ARE 5x114.3 to 'I'm told...' - I'm not suggesting that's what happened, I'm sure you forgot to put it in until the ad went live and went back to add the extra info but as a stranger on ebay the former could have been a suspicion - a lot of people have been stung on ebay and are very cautious

Please take the above points in the manner in which it was intended - constructive feedback to help you improve the ebay ad for next time round to hopefully sell the wheels. Buying the right wheels is a nightmare even if you do have all the relevant info about widths and offsets and near impossible without - unless you have the same car as the one they have just come off and you could see the stance etc.

hahaha - just realsied this part from my post "don't know if they can trust a strangers guestimate of 8 inches" may come across wrong - I'm not suggesting Alex has told you that's what 8 inches looks like

ROFL

I don't trust courier delivery with these wheels on ebay, because the buyer will end up raking his money back through paypal and keeping the wheels or something :( So I don't mind limiting that market to someone genuine.

The 5x114.3 was a last minute edit, because Baz let Rose know, we literally didn't know, because we know nothing about wheels, lol. There is no information on the wheels, except for 18 --- JJ and you replace --- with a raised rectangle of nothingness. JJ is the fitment right? is 5x114.3 the offset? Or is that just the ET? whatever that is? Or is that the stud pattern (Which is what I thought it was?).

I'm so confused :(

5x114.3 in the pcd - if they weren't that pcd then the holes for the studs wouldn't line up.

the 'jj' bit is the width of the wheel. To give a more accurate guestimate just put a couple of plans of wood on front and back and measure the distance. You could get an idea of the offset from this as well.

That's what people really need to know for clearance etc

Some info here - http://www.alloyguide.com/pcd.php but there are a lot better guides I've seen before if you have a search mate.

pm'd

Prov sold to MarkDerby pending collection tonight ;)

I tried to help out with the listing, but the edits came too late and the title needed changing to really get the right interest. I still reckon you'd get £400 if advertised correctly...

Good purchase Mark, are they going on yours?

Yeah he wants to be able to alternate his wheels :D

We probably could if we spent the time working out the offset properly and everything, that's my bad, no one elses fault. But I'm glad they're going to a club member because they're a LUSH set of wheels. I personally prefer more open wheels like the ones already on the grey one though, and the ones on the grey one are stepped 8 and 9" respectively (Or 7 and 8" but I'm sure it's 8 and 9").

Someone from another car club almost bought them the day they were advertised on their site, but he wanted the rears to be 9's.

I also wanted them but I dont need two lush sets of Work wheels :tt2:

I prefer the ones on your sig pic to these ones personally, I like spoked alloys. I had a set of 5 spoke Enkei Lightweight Racing alloys on the GTR and everyone used to say they could only see the discs, hubs and callipers while I was driving because of it, which looked really cool in videos and photos :D

I think with a lick of paint your ones would look better, the black centre is very heavy and detracts from the appearance. That said, if they had the centre caps they would be totally different!

Yeah I looked at some on ebay that were painted silver/chrome and they looked pretty nice, but I like to see my brakes :D
