Cool. If you decide to have a go at being a trader on here, have a word with Graham (Groover), he as Trade Liason Officer (TLO) will be able to advise you what you have to do. Good luck with your venture buddy.

Yeh.....don't turn it off :tongue_smilie:

I think Ian (Vodkashots) is a dab hand at fixing electrical stuff, ask him?

Sounds like it's over heating you could try taking the back off and seeing if it's got loads of dust in there.

sounds more like a dry joint, as once it heats up the contact will become less as the join expands, take the back off, find the on switch remove the old solder thats on clean the area and apply some new solder see if that fixes it.

well thats if your good with a soldering iron. oh and dont do it while its on or plugged in

well i can fix ps3s and xboxs, cant be too much diff, i just dnt kno where to look lol i thought it was a knackd capacitor maybe. im gonna have the back off now and have a look at that switch, thanks ian :)

ok, ive had it apart, took the switch panel out, cant find any dry joints or anything obvious.so im just gona live with it cos ill get frustrated and shoot it with my spud gun if i carry on ,stupid thing.

thanks for the help tho :)

just because you cant see a dry joint doesn't mean there isnt one, see if this fixes it, take your soldering iron and get it to temp, reheat the solder already on the connection so it reforms the seal, not too much those as its old solder and give it a try see if it them works correctly.

lol.....sorry mate, couldn't resist that one....:whistling:

I'll bet it's down to bad capacitors, take it apart and see if any of the caps have the top bulging out, if so replace them (the spec should be written on them) and all should be fine.
