    that was excellent :clap: that Ron Dennis perfectionist or what? moaning about different colour tile in another batch and the wrong colour wheels on trolleys! :lol: that got to be the cleanest garage ever and love the clean look and the new car aint bad!:drool: anyone been to see the new Mclaren showroom? i kick myself to this day for driving past the Mclaren factory and not having my picture taken standing next to the big Mclaren sign at the entrance to the factory and it was RED!!!!!:cursing:

    Yup - it was an excellent programme!!

     

    I have been fortunate enough to have been on one of their factory tours - it's an awesome place; cleaner than most hosiptals I'd wager!!

     

    And we fionished the tour with a 3 course dinner in Ron Dennis's private dining room. It was a fantastic day - and they gave us a glass mounted pic of me and the rest of the tour group posing with Lewis Halimton's F1 car.

    I have a friend who is a car broker; in fact I buy all my fleet cars via him. Some years back, he used to work for Mercedes as a sales director and he still has his old contacts.

     

    So each year, he gets a couple of invites to the McLaren factory (I believe McLaren still issue invitations to some folks with Merc and Vodafone connections); which he uses to entertain his regular customers. July 2007 was my turn!!

     

    Here are my souvenirs from the day. Excuse quick phone pics....
