Engine vibration & lack of power

Hi, perhaps someone can help me out here. I've just bought a 300zx TT auto & when I rev the engine in neutral, there seems to be quite a bit of vibration in the car.

I'm thinking possibly knackered engine or gearbox mounts because when I put my hand on the engine, I can't feel any vibration at all.

I could be wrong of course. Has anyone had similar problems.

Also, the car seems to have very little power. If one of the turbos was knackered, how high would the boost gauge read? because at the moment, it reads about 4-5 on full power.

Cheers guys.

PS. I only paid £1750 for it so I might just break the thing yet!

I had those exact symptoms last month, found it wasn't running on all cylnders, found that one of the connectors connecting the coil/spark lead on number 5 cylinder wasn't connected properly, pushed it back in, power restored.

It could be that but it seems to idle very smoothly. I'll check it anyway.

Mine was idling smoothly as well when it happened but goes rough when u rev it, very lumpy

I had a problem when I changed my plugs and one of the coil packs where not on correctly. At idle I couldnt tell if it was firing on 5, it was only when the engine was reved over 1000-1500rpm could I feel it.

Is it a fast vibration or more like a rythmic rocking?
