Anyone from the North East and Yorkshire going to Zedworld bash Fancy a convoy ?

 

As there's me and Jan near Scarborough, others farther north and then the South Yorks fraternity around Darlington, How about Woodhall Services as a starting point ?

Well if we are all friends, might I please why my reference to the new site (without a link) was deleted from the post in the first place which started all this, especially as it was removed by a mod who doesn't have a zed and therefore won't be going anyway ?

Seeing as the other club has no affiliation with Zclub or the previous banned owners and is now completely independant of them and actually run by current subscribed members on here, was the link removal really nessesary?? It seems to me that certain mods need moderating for inciting forum unrest according to the clubs own AUP.

 

Seems most of the issues seem to come from the moderation team?

 

The other club would love nothing more then to work very closely with this forum and all its members and admin alike to promote healthy growth of a great community and to bring forward some great events and meets.

 

If certain keyboard warriors do not wish to leave the comfort of there desk then so be it, however I think you will find over 95% of the membershi are all for more meets more events and more great community spirit.

 

just my 2P I hope its taken in the right context of pushing for more co-operation and furthering the cause of the 300zx enthusiast.

Sorry Tony but we cant approve reference's or joint meets yet as stated in the post put up by me with the link to Kim's message. I know a lot of posts have mentioned the newly taken over club with out given the clubs name and I have decided to run with them to give them a chance to air there thoughts and keep the peace with the new club. So I hope you understand we are trying our best to help in any way and dont want anybody feeling put down.

I sent A pm to you yesterday stating why I changed your title and asked if it was ok with you and if you did not like it I said I would change it back, I never got a reply back mate and it would help me a lot if you could reply to your pm's as I am trying my best for you and all our members.

As for members, mods and committee without zeds well this club is open to anybody who wants to join you dont have to own a 300zx to join in the fun and the person you mentioned did have a 300zx for a number of years. I hope this has answered your question.

I mean who the eff wants to know about his ingrowing whiskers....is that a car problem or should he see a doctor. I for one certainly find that distasteful and think that should have been moderated

As far as I can see (know put me right if I am wrong)there was an aggressive take over of Zclub taking all the membership with them and banning the two they wanted out.(I know of several members of Zclub who have said they are not happy with there names being added to the new club but thats another story)So as far as I see it the new club is just the same but with new owners so we wish you all the best but we would like to see how this new club performs just incase we get our fingers burnt.

Now please please please dont take this the wrong way but try and see it from our point of view but we banned for a week one of our members who give of reams about how this club was run and how the mods got it wrong he then put into motion the new club which you want us to join in with open arms do you see where I am comming from and want to tread carfully in this situation

As for mods here doing a bad job will its not easy Craig your dammed if you do and your dammed if you dont by some of our members.

You asked to be corrected if you were wrong, so I'll clear up the bits you were wrong on.

 

zClub abandoned a failing 300zx-club after a long time trying to support it, some members who had been left holding the site up wanted to save it and it's membership, permission was given by the zclub committee to use the content from the site, those members brought in some new members to form a committee/admin team and move the club.

 

zClub are no longer associated with the site, but the club chairman and several of it's committee are members and do post on the forum. If you know members of zClub (or in fact members of the new forum) who are unhappy with the new forum, please tell them to contact the site admins to have themselves removed, there will be no issue in doing so. The only people to do so thus far, are friends of a certain person.

I'd really appreciate it if the mud slinging could stop (On both sides) and the world could continue turning again please.

As for your remarks on Allan who is a friend of mine all I can say is there is no need for anyone to condem anybody in such a way:no:We talk about all subjects here not just cars you are just being spiteful Try and make friends not enemies its much better.

I understand completely fella and I very much understand where your coming from, Can I suggest it might be worth having a chat with the admins of the other site as they are genuine in there interest of inter club co operation and the creation of the site was in response to the previous owners leaving the site to die a horrible death so with the best of intentions they tried to slavage something from the chaos left by the previous administration.

 

They have been very honest about the clubs formation and have stated in there orignal opening threads that if anyone is not happy with there old posts and ifo being on the open forum they will happily remove it.

 

They really have gone to great lengths to try an salvage whatever they could of the forum spirit. Hence why now the club is trying to work hard to build bridges and ties with this club as between the 2 sites we have the best group of z enthusiasts out there.

 

maybe the creation of a club liason office or something like that would help to bring the 2 communities closer and work on creating some great events and banter and help forward the z cause :)

 

I hope this club will look to the future and embrace some change other wise it risks loosing more members and going the way of many other other now extinct species.

 

between the 2 sites there is really some great opportunities to really revive the 300zx.

Thanks for putting me in the picture I was only going on what I could pick up and see.

As for mud slinging, I have only stated facts in your case Hollowpoint and have said "please please please dont take this the wrong way" but again it has not gone down well, its so hard trying to talk with a key board I hate it. I can only do so much to help you and will continue to help in any way I can but I have to go now work calls. We can talk latter if you want but do try to understand we are here to help thats why this thread is still going.

I really hope we can keep this thread going and really start to build some bridges between the sites. Gary I did pop you a PM the other day (you havent responed lol) if you fancy a chat fella let me know as it really would be great if we can build something between the sites.

Cheers Craig lets see what happens with the new club and its members and lets get Christmas over as its peace to all men (and women) and in the New Year we will talk again on how it has performed this gives the new club time to prove itself over what should be a busy time for fourms with members of work and busy on Winter projects.

I will not be posting on this thread again till the New Year but will leave it open for posts but it will be moderated and if it gets out of hand it will be closed. Hope this is satisfactory and I am available through PM.

but i wont stand by and accept other member's having personal attack's toward's me, whether it be for the car i drive, the avatar i use or the thread's i post asking for genuine helpfull advice in a general discussion part of the forum, if im attacked i will retaliate, do not do it please

 

this is all im saying on the matter so dont expect any further replies on this thread if and when this post get's analyzed and pulled to bit's

I was under the impression that anything non Z related could be discussed on the non Z related part of the forum as long as it's not against the forums AUP, which Allans post certainly wasn't.

It's great to hear of progress being made in building bridges between the two clubs. I've always found the, shall we call it, 'great divide' topic to be depressing and hopefully sometime in the near future it'll all be behind and we can enjoy shared meets/club shops/banter/etc. :thumbup:
