Anyone from the North East and Yorkshire going to Zedworld bash Fancy a convoy ?

 

As there's me and Jan near Scarborough, others farther north and then the South Yorks fraternity around Darlington, How about Woodhall Services as a starting point ?

Why was half of this post removed ?

 

I thought there was supposed to be a spirit of co-operation and live and let live

Can i just say though as much as i understand the club trying to protect its interests the most hated banned "member" this probaly referred to and he is a massive "member" a huge one in fact is no longer involved and using the site as a fingers up to this one.So as car numbers and members dwindle maybe its more prudent we all read from the same hymm sheet and not adopt the "them and us" approach.This is my take on it and how i see it being an enthusiast for these cars.Maybe someone else has another take on this ??

I have not been on this site very long but there has always been us and them and as we do not condem any other site and quickly remove any post that people put up slagging any other site unfortunately it has not been the same when other sites slag us of.Even when the new z site took over the old orange site they started of slagging us refering to Peter Pan and calling this site as the Pirates. So we are happy to just go on as we are and not get involved with inter z site slagging and not let them interfear with us,

It would be nice for all of us to get on as one big club but as shure as night follows day it will kick of.May be one day when numbers are very low the lovers of this marquee will be in just one club.

I see your point but getting dragged in makes you no better,my mother always told me not to worry about what other people say and i trust her well guided opinion.Who cares anyway ?? I respect your words Jimmer and would like to talk face to face as I hate trying to type out my thoughts. But I stand by what I have said and think we have a great site here so lets all enjoy it.

That's why people with no axe to grind belong to other sites sites as well..... because of the love of the cars, NOT because of the people there

We all belong to other sites including me:biggrin:I love reading in the Aus and USA sites plus a great site here in NI but this site by far is the best for banter and answers so this is were I live and this is the site I want to promote.

AS for people with no axe to grind I find that people who have stepped out of line here go straight to other sites and start grinding there axe against us.This is what stains them sites as we are here for the love of the cars and not for slagging people off.

 

Now the orange site.(cant remember there full name) We banned a member here and he was put in charge of this site it got that bad there the site was taken over by a new organisation and he was not allowed to join it. I think that is the way it happened but I stand to be corrected.Within a few posts this new site started on us as I have said to Jimmer not a good start for them as we are not here to be laughed at thats not what car clubs are about as you have said Tony.

The other site you mention has done nothng but try to work with all other jap car sites including this site, Im also a REO on the other site and am working hard to organise joing meets between all the sites, As Jimmer said before we are all here because of the passion we have for our cars not some of the imature people who frequent some sites, And if any of the clubs are going to survive we have to promote co operation and have some fun with these cars and joint meets, With Zed numbers dwindling and owners becoming fractured on various sites we have to work hard to pull the sites together and only by having an open mind and trying to work on co operation is this going to happen.

As the discussion of why and what for (Not Knocking the discussion)has taken over the original reason the tony b stated the thread he should be requested to restart it and it be kept clean and to the purpose of what it was for ie a convoy of like minded enthusiasts from no matter where to help make an excellent event even better for people travelling from a distance away

Agree Steve we are way of topic now and if Tony wants he should start a new thread and keep inside the club rules.

But would like to keep this thread live to talk about issues people are feeling.

I agree Gary very much so, but it seems the main site is loosing popularity due to people not being open minded and embracing some change and communicating new ideas, I hope this is something that will change in the future.

for the sake of all the enthusiasts on all the zed sites, as ive never met such a great group of like minded people then on the z community.

 

Its just a shame that change is not embraced and unfortunately from speaking to many people that its like an us against them between the users and the admins. i do hope this can be addressed and we can all enjoy many more years of meets gatherings and great forum banter.

I have changed the title and moved the thread as we are way of topic and Tony can open a new thread for the convoy. Tony a pm is on the way.

Depending on funds at the time, I might be able to join. It would be nice to have a good old fashioned convoy down together.

Further more, that is 1 post since the new team took over on the 19th of october, and there has been NO incidents of interforum bitching since the global announcement.

 

If there is going to be a workable relationship between the two forums, then some "insults" are going to require a pinch of salt.

Hi Nick, maybe I did overreact a little when I seen the post it just saddened me to see this new site being born and one of the first posts had a dig at us but maybe I should overlook it and put it down to that person being silly.

I did go on the site a few times but found no one to interact with now dont get me wrong I am not having a dig I just think the bad tast in the take over has not gone down well. Good luck anyway and hope it works out.:thumbup1:

Or you could take the post in context where that same member (Who is a subbed member here, and doesn't deserved to be insulted by a moderator on the open forum) in their post immediately before, made a joke about hopefully the clubs having adjacent marquees at JAE next year, a friendly game of tug-o-war and no arguments about who parked where. Just sayin'
