up and down ideling

Hi guys

Started to notice that if I leave my 300tt running for a long time, just sat on the drive, when it warms up fully and the revs drop to about 900rpm, they will then start wandering from 500-1100rpm. It seems as if the car is about to stall but it doesnt, when you rev the engine its fine, but then after a minuit or so it starts doing it again. Never noticed this before and it doesnt allways happen. What could it be or is this normal?

Mine does that too. Not as much as before though. Try cleaning the throttle bodies, clean the water temp sensor, clean the throttle angle sensor and adjust it to the correct position. Try looking at the acceleration cable and see if it needs adjusting too.

See if it does the same with the a/c on. If not then it could be a sticky FICD valve or perhaps a poor electrical contact to it.

I've got the same problem, I've had the throttle bodies cleaned, revs a bit better but not much, when I start the car sometimes goes all the way down to 200 rpm nearly stalling back up to bout 1100rmp. When the heat or ac is on the engine idles high around 1300rpm. Any suggestions?

Hi guys

My engine idles smothly, about 1000rpm when the A/c is turned on, Ive noticed that the throttle cable is slightly slack, what and wher is this angle sensor thingy and how do I or should I adjust it. Ive also noticed that when the engines ideling goes up and down the temp reads nearly max then goes down to half, this keeps happening, but only when the engine is fully warm.

Common problem...start with throttle bodies...then clean every electrical connection you can get your hands too!!!

Usually does the trick
