I was wondering if you have a standard 300zxTT (mine is 90 and UK car)...going for a ligher driveshaft is it worhtwhile?..

I do not knw how muhc they cost....and how much faster the car is going to be...

I don't know that much about this, only what I've read on z32.org. The obvious advantage is the loss in weight means less of a power loss to the rear wheels. Also you lose that nastey centre bearing which can also cause problems when it wears out or falls out of alignment which causes the nastey vibration between about 45 and 70mph.

Hope this helps, some of the other guys maybe able to add more meat to the bone here.

Yes thanks for your post,

indeed what you say is part of the stuff I was reading....but what I couldn't find is how much faster the car goes in acceleration and how much (min to max) a lighter driveshaft could cost...

Head over to http://www.twinturbo.net and do a search on the subject. You should find a lot of information as this question comes up quite often.
