well I thought I'd show willing this year, so I'm surrounded by spooky spider candles and I've bought a huge mountain of sweets and I've been sat waiting to get inundated with trick or treaters. Guess wot? Not one has turned up.

Anybody who turns up this late will be some teenage hoodie who won't be too chuffed with his haribo pack and a drumstick lolly!!

Better than my other half answering the door with his machine gun tho I suppose:gun_bandana:

ive put the wheelie bin up against the gate lol, dog goes ape shit when the door bell go's and most of the kid's round here are orrible little oxygen thieve's

Also got LOADS of sweeties in - 2 sets of kids knocked, that was all! Looks like Tash has enough sugary treats to last her til next Halloween!! I didn't take her trick or treating, I think 5 is a bit young yet

last year I locked my gate, but this year I was feeling a little more charitable (or I'm going soft, more like), so I bought a couple of bags of treats and have just given my last bag of chocolate buttons away!! Hopefully that's it now, or otherwise I'll be getting a trick.. Guess I might be due one after what i did when I was a nipper - nothing malicious like, but I definitely remember cans of silly string and gettings peoples cars/flowerbeds etc.

Lol, a college at works got his treats sorted he braught some into work today he boiled brussel sprouts then covered them in chocolate, hmm i wonder why i ddint want wone poor kids tonight!

Being a miserable git like me I've switched of all my lights and hid

You switched your HID off too?

I found some open pack of haribo in the cupboard. Not sure when they were out of date but the kids seem to like them. lol

Respect for that

My dad said their trick as kids was to put dog poop in paper bags, set fire to them on people's doorsteps, ring the bell then hide, to watch the poor home owner come to the door, see a flaming paper bag, stamp on it to put it out, only to get a stinky, squelchy surprise.....:shifty:

ewww, ya dirty bugger

We generally don't get too many. Sure there are neighbourhood children but they are all pretty young.

In fact most of the parents go out with them - and have the politeness to ask me if it's OK to knock; knowing that Julia and I do not have kids....

......And whilst I am always happy to join in (hell the little guys do make the effort), tonight Julia and I went out to the pub. So no callers here....

I did tell their parents over the weekend - and will give the kids some sweets when I see them tomorrow!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Kids came knocking on our door, Jan answered..... They said 'trick or treat' ?

Jan said what happens if I say trick ? One bright one lad said 'oh no, what you gonna do' ?

Jan replied that they were supposed to trick and they just looked blank ! Still she sent them off with some Cadbury miniatures

Unbelivable !
