Don`t worry Stella with traction control. abs and the most important DSC (dynamic stability control) as standard on your Beemer you will ok.

apperently even with all that, they reckon you cant even move an m3 in the snow lol

yeah you can i drove my E36 M3 evo just over 15 miles in the snow when i got caught out picking up parts, however i did fail the last 500 yards to my house!!!!!

i managed with the zed so im hoping im gonna be ok in the M3, time for some fresh rubber i think though

Last year I got my bm off the drive, soon as the back wheels hit the snow, game over..

People who wanted to get past had to help me bounce the car backwards, back onto the drive..!

It was absolutely crap. I know not to even bother this year....

i drove the zed on sheet ice last year even sat still for afw hours then pulled away it actually just ate it up and the zed has more torque than an m3 am i correct? you will be fine its still warm down here, havent even turned the heating on in my fish tank yet lol. and trees are blossoming thinking its spring :)

Sad times for me I am afraid as I have just the one day left tomorrow to enjoy the Zed, already sorned it from Nov 1st onwards :crying:

Voluntarily putting it in my garage for engine mods over the winter so the snow will not bother me one little bit.

On the plus side our German Shepherd loves the snow also, eating it mainly, but not the yellow stuff :tt2: she'd eat it but I don't let her :tt2:

I'll leave the Z parked up... I didnt buy an off road range rover for nothing :)

I am off to Spain tomorrow so dont care!! lol......can have as much as you want when I get back :) (well I hope the plane can land first!) Catch you all when I get back smiley-love025.gif

lucky barsteward lol, my boss is out there ATM (alicante) weather is great apparently

enjoy it bud

Told you BMW lot already, winter tyres is what you need. Prices have shot up now tho and so have delivery times. My little fiesta is getting his fitted today!!

The only way I've found to get about in the snow is to disable traction and DSC and put some weight in the boot - once you're moving put it back on if you want, but it's usually better to keep the wheels spinning in my experience... if you grind to a halt, you'll be lucky to get going with them on!!

I'm packing it in, bought a season ski pass and moving to the 3 Valleys of France for the winter..... so the prospect of snow & lot's of it... is music to my ears ;)

I hope it doesnt snow! I only have the Zed at the minute, and its going to be a nightmare to get to work! :'( haha

they alway's say we get it two week's after america get's it, so if that is true i reckon within 2-2.5 weeks
