just spotted something on that car ... it has a switch for Sports and touring where the window mirror switch's are ....

 

did some have different suspension fitted ?

I have a switch like that on mine, althought it looks like an aftermarket button. I was also a bit curious on that. I don't really feel it working though :s

Yeah Std in the US i think. Its comfort and sport setting. Dont know why they got it and we didnt because our roads are crap lol!!!

 

It was the same for the mk3 supras as well

UK's have this setting as well, you have to use the handbrake to operate it though :) I guess the US got the switch as it's easier to use than the handbrake.

U.S TT's had the switchable Sports and Touring suspension as standard on the Front and Rear.

 

On UK models, for some unknown reason Nissan fitted the actuators to the rear only, but not the rest of the system to make use of them. The Handbrake trick is designed for diagnostic purposes only.

 

Jap Imports had none of the system.

The Handbrake trick on UK models is for diagnostic purposes only. For some unknown reason Nissan fitted the actuators to the rear only, but not the rest of the system to make use of them.

 

Seems a bit of a pointless thing for the UK then. That said, who wants to pull the handbrake up a notch to stiffen the suspension anyway :scared:
