Hi

I want to fit some custom body kit - however I'm a bit concerned about how low it may be (to the road!) as my Zed is already lowered, with eibach springs fitted

So I'm intending to fit front and rear bumper, side skirts and possibly vented wings, rear lights - and change the colour

My previous Zed, the one I wrecked lol (must see if I still have some photo's of it) had a lot of custom body kit. Problem was it would pass just about anything but a speed hump. I must have broke the front spoiler about half a dozen times!!

Out of interest I do have an old receipt for the kit on the old Zed (I didn't fit it) and have some Zedcentre codes from 2004 - but they seem to have changed all the codes so I can't work out what exactly was on the old one

ZC002B (front bumper)

ZC013B (side skirts)

ZC004B (rear bumper)

ZC020A (rear spoiler)

ZC 022B (tailgate tub)

ZC007B (rear strip)

My zed now has an original front bumper and as it has lowered suspension that is just 8 - 9cm from the road surface (hard to measure accurately) however it does go over speed humps (so far!)

I'm hoping for some suggestions what would be suitable/unsuitable to fit instead and still have the car drivable. Zedworld did suggest the 99 Spec OEM bumper would be about the same road clearance as the one I have on now. I'm looking for something more curved than angular, think like zenon or viper style...

Same question goes for side skirts and rear bumper

Cheers

Rich

Did I ask this wrong or does no one know?

As my Zed has lowered suspension (the original fit front end clears the road by about 8.5cm) I'm a wondering which alternatives I could fit when i add some body kit and still have the car clear speed humps etc

Any suggestions?

Rich

I just don't think people will know the exact dimensions of what you are asking. It's pretty specific and in general not something that people know.

A lot of cars on here are lowered, including mine, but obviously speed bump types/heights are all area specific so we encounter different problems.

Sorry this post is of no help to you, I just wanted you to know you are not being ignored. Bump it up a couple of times and i'm sure if someone can be of help then they'll post an answer. Good luck.

I would say that most would fit and have clearance, I'm sure there is a thread somewhere in the FAQs which lists, with pics most of the bodykits out there. I know that some of the guys on here have got their Zed slammed and they have kits on.

Will it get over speed humps without fouling? difficult to say bud, I guess it depends on the height of the hump really.

I know that this is probably not very helpful, but it might be worth asking someone on here who has a lowered car with the bumpers that you like.

I'll see if i can find that link with all the bodykits.. it is quite useful for reference

Cant imagine you would have any problem with skirts or rear bumper.

I would say 99.9% of kitted zeds are lowered. I have a Greddy front and have never had any issues. Lowered about 35mm

never ever fit a body kit to a car that is already perfect to look at... just my opinion.
