A have a spare rear centre panel I bought off ebay (cheap!) that appears to be a genuine nissan illuminated panel, as it came with a nissan inverter and on seperating the two parts it has a proper cut-out for the wiring connector etc.the reason I seperated the two parts was due to the fact the el sheet doesnt work and I want to replace it.

 

Does anyone know of anywhere in the uk that can supply a new el sheet of the correct size (approx 50mm x 300mm) that illuminates red?.have looked on ebay but the el sheets on there arent the correct size.did find one from the states the right size but they dont ship to the uk! :(

 

Any help or advice would be appreciated :)

got mine from glowhut made any size i wanted and invertors many colours to see my rides to see them.

they were u.s firm but shipped fine to me no probs

I've been having a look around at this illuminated rear panel malarky on the net

 

It's something I would very much like to do - especially as I intend to get the car sprayed metallic red after kitting it

 

There do seem to be some various options - I found a couple of DIY guides on how to convert a standard rear panel to illuminted (one seemed to involve cooking it 400 degrees for 10 mins to separate the two halves)

 

Also a link to a guy on facebook who makes them and sells them?

 

These original OEM illuminated panels - where do you find them? Second hand hopefully!

 

And the 99 spec rear panel - that looks much like the one already on my Zed but the car was built 92. What's the difference?

 

Basically - to a newbie(ish) what is the best way to go about this?

 

If it is to convert a standard one, anyone got a second hand one for sale so I can break that instead of breaking the one on my car lol
