dipstick!

Can someone tell me where tne engine oil level should be on the dipstick/wire - alternatively, is there an owners manual on-line somewhere so I can stop asking dumb ass questions??

Should the dipstick be pushed right in or just up to its housing to measure??

Cheers!

In the middle of the of the lines on the end of the dipstick.

But it never works right.

when its cold - aim for the upper limit of the gauge (make sure you're parked on a level surface)

..the zed has an incredibly small sump for its size - and you don't want oil starvation on a TT if you're hammering it around a sweeping bend!

Sorry my post sounded a little partonising. Wasnt meant to be.

My dipstick never works. When I am doing an oil change the dip stick is not showing anything, I put a little more in and still nothing, a little more and its coverd the hole dipstick. I did start the engine for a few seconds to allow the oil to move round after I put some oil in.
